I’m an aunt (and personalising a photo frame for gifting)

Standard

Teena had a healthy and beautiful baby girl on the 22nd of August at 5.25 pm- Both mommy and baby are well by God’s grace 🙂 When my bro and I visited baby girl on the 23rd, she sneezed twice at me and I was told that it is lucky to be so blessed (sneezed) 🙂
Teena is still having some pain but she was able to talk and move around when Joshua and I visited her at the hospital yesterday. Baby girl is the most beautiful baby I have laid my eyes on…Joshua and I are completely smitten and she is all we talk a bout these days! She was sleeping all snug next to Teena, tucked into her lilac baby blanket when we saw her – so angelic and calm…such a refreshing sight for our cynical, grown up souls 🙂

Joshua and I had got this lovely “Congratulations” photo frame from Lifestyle when we had gone sofa hunting…we thought it would be the perfect gift for Teena and Jimmy when their lift one is born. Since it was a surprise gift, the frame was handed over to me for safe keeping till Teena’s delivery 🙂

While Teena was admitted at the hospital, I knew I have to keep my hands and mind busy to keep me from over-thinking and worrying myself to shreds 🙂 Call me chicken but I was sooo nervous for Teena all day on the 22nd that I felt dizzy! I don’t know what I would do when I am pregnant – faint??
I felt the photo frame backing that had a kissing couple was probably better suited for a wedding gift – and so I dug out my scrapbooking supplies 🙂 I rummaged around in my embellishments jar till I found the perfect tags and die-cuts…Got out my glue….

And the outcome of that was this…

I changed out the kissing folks with a pale butter-yellow and pink polka dot scrapbook paper from the Do Crafts ‘Especially for You” collection that features the highly cute Tatty Teddy 🙂

I added three die-cut, blue and pale aqua glitter hearts to the right frame – one each for Jimmy, Teena and baby 🙂 Then I made a cute little gift tag from baby blue and white cardstock, a Tatty Teddy die-cut tag stuck on the blue card and tied it to the frame using baby blue and white baker’s twine 🙂 Here’s a close up of the tag and the hearts…

Do you like the frame now as much as I do? Isn’t that little teddy the cutest!
